Yichao He is a landscape architect and urban social researcher. Her work on Nature’s way project is to explore the challenges and barriers of integrating different actors in implementing nature-based solutions to promoting health and wellbeing.

After finishing her master’s degree in Landscape studies, Yichao continued to conduct her PhD studies at the University of Sheffield and will graduate in 2022. Her doctoral research focuses on how neighbourhood outdoor spaces in urban China support older people’s health and wellbeing whilst they are ageing-in-place. Yichao’s research interests lay between urban natural environments, age-friendly environments, health and wellbeing, experiences of urban landscapes, and affordances. She also has experience in delivering Landscape research modules as a teaching assistant.
