Mia Upton Textile MA Weaver – I am a textile designer. I have explored modernising traditional weaves especially for tartan; created pattern through weave and digital illustration; researched colour’s cultural and personal significance and identified trends to apply to my designs; and created structure and texture through weave, materials and embroidery. My MA work combines influences from my Hong Kong upbringing and my Scottish heritage.
