Ready…Steady…Relax

This film shows the process of a user making himself at home in a rented car.

The film was produced after the User Study workshops to visualise the developed design concept based on user feedback. We used the same titles and themes that we had in the videos we showed at the London Design Festival 2018: Ready…Steady…Relax, Driving Whisper and Motoring Makeovers.

We created the film Ready…Steady…Relax to demonstrate our idea for a user booking a car through an app and experiencing a shared-car service. It was made after the User Study workshops to visualise the design concepts we had developed. The film shows a user making themselves comfortable in a rented car. As the customer books the car through an app, their profile information and preferences – such as lighting, size of information on the dashboard screen, audio levels, driving posture and biometrics – is sent to the chosen rental car in order to better accommodate the driver. They settle into the car by placing personal items, accepting the pre-programmed posture adjustments as well as choosing from a curated personal selection of entertainment.
