Ana María Alarcón Cepeda (1999, Bogotá, Colombia) is a mixed media artist and textile designer whose practice explores feminist narratives through slow processes and material storytelling. She holds a BA in Fine Arts from Universidad de los Andes and an MA in Textiles from the Royal College of Art. Ana María has worked as a Visual Arts teacher (IB PYP) at The English School in Bogotá and is the founder of “Lanera” (2020–2023), a project focused on hand knitting, printing, and embroidery.
She has exhibited at Artecámara 2021, participated at the ArtBo Tutor Program (2022–2023), and the Asociación de Amigos del Museo Nacional auction (2023). In 2023, she took part in the “Brújula” residency at Espacio Comunal and co-organised the “Oscilaciones: Espacios de Autoficción” at Espacio Odeón in Bogotá. Most recently, she exhibited and made part of the organisation committee at the “Tekhne Show” and the “Textiles Festival: Tactile Landscapes” at the Royal College of Art (2025).
