I have feelings for people I already know

Project Leads: Anastasia Freygang

Number of participants:  12

Duration: 5 days

Project Outline:

‘I have feelings for people I already know’ is the first sentence of a text by the RCA student Anastasia Freygang, serving as an outline for a part-scripted, part-improvised participatory video performance. The movement and exclamation based workshop is contextually navigating between feelings of alienation and compassion. It is an experiment that sets out to contribute to an ongoing research into language-led collaborative practices by the artist. The five day workgroup is open to all levels of experience and comprises of a series of explorations in response to prompts, moving from contemplative modes into embodiment. Together we will develop short scenes to enact in a video performance at the end of each day. Participants must be interested and comfortable being filmed using verbal and body language in a group setting and sign a consent form.
